Iris color change risk is real and irreversible — blue/green-eyed users should know this. Periocular pigmentation (reversible) common. Scalp use is off-label and less validated than minoxidil/finasteride. Expensive to use off-label at scalp scale.

Prostaglandin F2α receptor agonists; originally developed for glaucoma (reduce IOP); hair-growth side effect → repurposed topically; bimatoprost (Latisse) FDA-approved for eyelash hypotrichosis 2008
