Cabergoline
Libido · Dopamine D2 agonist
Tier B+
What this is
Valvulopathy risk is real and dose-dependent — chronic Parkinson's-level dosing (3+ mg/day) is clearly associated; prolactinoma doses less certain. Biohacker microdoses (0.25 mg weekly) are much lower than valvulopathy-risk dosing but long-term safety data in that population doesn't exist. Echo monitoring advised for chronic users.
Mechanism
Ergot-derived long-acting D2 dopamine receptor agonist; suppresses prolactin; used medically for hyperprolactinemia, prolactinoma, Parkinson's; off-label for post-orgasmic refractory reduction
Dose & route
0.25-0.5 mg once weekly (low-dose biohacker); 0.25-1 mg 2x/week (hyperprolactinemia)
