Imperial College Waljit Dhillo group has pioneered kisspeptin as a sexual-function and fertility therapeutic. Thurston 2022 showed increased sexual brain activation in HSDD women. Not the same as MKC-231/coluracetam despite similar names. Research-stage peptide with emerging human data.

Endogenous KISS1-gene product; binds KISS1R (GPR54) on GnRH neurons; master regulator of GnRH/LH/FSH pulsatility; proposed for HSDD, hypothalamic amenorrhea, fertility
